Chandrayaan closer to moon

India’s first unmanned mission Chandrayaan – 1 was pushed closer to the moon in a second orbit reduction. The spacecraft is orbiting ellipitically once in every 2 hours and 16 minutes over the polar regions of the lunar planet. Chandrayaan has carried 11 scientific instruments, in which 6 are from foreign and remaining 5 are from India. The success of the Chandrayaan has made other countries to look back ISRO.
